Day 1
Arrival and Transfer
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park,
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport. Drive south-west through Rwanda's beautiful countryside towards the Cyanika border, where you will complete immigration formalities before crossing into Uganda. Continue to Kisoro and onward to the Mgahinga area, enjoying spectacular views of the Virunga volcanic mountains along the way. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, have lunch and relax. In the afternoon, you will receive a briefing about the following day's gorilla trek and prepare for your forest adventure.

Day 2
Mgahinga Gorilla NP
Gorilla Trekking
Transfer time to park headquarters: Approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on lodge location
After an early breakfast, drive to the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park headquarters for registration and a pre-trekking briefing. You will then enter the forest with experienced ranger guides in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take several hours depending on the location and movement of the gorillas and the terrain.
Once you locate the gorillas, spend a memorable hour observing their behaviour, family interactions and daily activities in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the park headquarters and transfer back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. The evening is free to rest after the day's adventure.

Day 3
Golden Monkey Tracking
Transfer to Kigali
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for your golden monkey tracking experience. Enter the forest with your ranger guide in search of the endangered golden monkeys, famous for their beautiful golden-orange coats and energetic behaviour. As you explore the bamboo forest, you may also encounter a variety of forest birds and other wildlife.
After the tracking experience, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning your journey back to Kigali. Cross the Cyanika border into Rwanda and continue through the scenic Rwandan countryside to Kigali. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, depending on your onward travel arrangements.
